East Lyme Ambulance - Who We Are

The East Lyme Ambulance Fund operates Emergency Medical Services for the residents and visitors to the villages of Flanders and Niantic, in the Town of East Lyme, CT.

We have two fully operational Ambulances - B100, based out of the Niantic Fire Dept. at 8 Grand Street, Niantic and B200, based out of Flanders Fire Dept. at 151 Boston Post Road, East Lyme. We also maintain a spare ambulance, available to replace either B100 or B200 if they need to be taken out of service for any reason.

Our ambulances and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), operate under the Medical Direction of the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, and under the broader oversight of the State of Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS)

East Lyme Ambulance - What We Do

East Lyme Ambulance provides Emergency Medical Services at either the Basic Life Support (BLS) level, where certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) will respond to incidents, or at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level where our crews will be supported by Paramedics based out of Lawrence & Memorial hospital, who are able to provide a higher level of prehospital care.

Fundraising Opportunities

East Lyme Ambulance operates services 24 hours a day, 365 days each year, ensuring if you ever need to call 911, a fully qualified team of professionals will be ready to respond.

We operate out of the Niantic and Flanders Fire Departments and work closely with Firefighters as well as other local agencies such as the East Lyme Police Department, CT State Police and the Life Star Medical Helicopter service operated by Hartford Hospital.

Volunteers-Construction

East Lyme Ambulance not only covers the villages of Niantic and Flanders, but also responds to incidents on I-95, primarily covering from Exit 72 to Exit 75 (although we also provide mutual aid support to our neighboring towns and communities when needed)
